?THE DARK HEDGES? One of the most photographed spots in Northern Ireland is the so called 'Dark Hedges'. This is a beautiful avenue of beech trees with knotted, bending branches making an otherwise nondescript country road into a compelling site: legend has is the tree tunnel is haunted! But we can't confirm nor deny that ? The hedges featured in an episode of Game of Thrones and attract a large number of tourists every day. We were lucky and got them almost empty (you can find all info and our exact itinerary on the blog: link in profile). Can you spot my two little explorers? Yes, those trees are that big! #takeyourkidseverywhere #familytravel #travelmomentswithkids #familytrails #havekidswilltravel #familytrails #familytravels #familytravelblog #familytraveltribe #familytravelmoment #familytraveler #takeyourkidseverywhere #kidstravel #familyjaunts #momswithcamera #pixel_kids #clickinmoms #familygo #familyvacation #childhoodunplugged #letthekids #lpkids #welivetoexplore #travelkids #showthemtheworld #holidayswithkids #wearetravelmums #memoriesforlife #familyfun #showthemtheworld

What started out as my first solo trip to Africa, ended with the greatest group of travel friends a gal could ask for. A long bus ride, we strangers shared biscuits and meds to soothe our sick stomachs. A few days later we savored ripe pomegranates plucked straight from the trees. By the end of our trip we were travel besties and continue to meet up across the globe several times a year. #ppsolotravel @passionpassport @hostelworld … . . . #passionpassport #ig_shotz_cities #amazing_shotz #worldnomads #globalnook #moodygrams #agameoftones #mytinyatlas #doyoutravel #morocco #igmorocco #visitmorocco #ipulledoverforthis #pocket_world #pocket_allnature #maketimetoseetheworld #dametraveler #solotravel #themoodoflife #splendid_shotz #igbostontravelers #igersmorocco #travelmorocco #loves_morocco #rsa_nature #cloudzdelight #rsa_outdoors #gadv #jj_nature

Do You Want To Be Featured?

Got a great travel photo to share? Make sure you are using the hashtag #maketimetoseetheworld in the caption or comments of your *best* photos and you could be featured on the MakeTimeToseeTheWorld Insta Account or in this monthly round up! I love seeing all your photos and can’t wait to see what June 2017 has in store!

Want to know what I think *best* means? Here’s some tips for getting featured:

  • As much as I’d love to see your pretty smiling faces, there is no place for selfies in the #maketimetoseetheworld feed. If you are going to include people (yourselves or others) make sure they are not the focus of the image.
  • Make sure your photo’s fit the square – white/black borders are not good for instagram
  • Use minimal filters and effects – I’m not a fan of the obviously over-processed.
  • Show the beauty of this incredible world – from nature to cities to oceans – and everything in between!

Thanks for reading and happy travels! <3

So many incredible pictures and places on this article!! in particular I love The Dark Hedges in Ireland, maybe enough to make me want to visit!

  2. Lois Alter Mark says:

Wow, those photos are absolutely gorgeous! I live in San Diego and have never captured the sunset like that! I love the trees in that Dark Hedges photo, and will need to go see them in person one of these days.

  3. Peter Korchnak says:

For the life of me I cannot get into Instagram. Pretty pictures, more pretty pictures, and then at the end, some more pretty pictures. But hey, at least there’s pretty pictures (and this round up is pretty great) so I guess that’s a plus 🙂

    • Vicki says:

I can totally understand that! I like to use it for getting new ideas from framing and composition for my own photos – and I do like pretty pictures 😉

    • Vicki says:

Thanks Sid – these were my favorites from those who used the #maketimetoseetheworld hashtag on Instagram this month, none of them are my own unfortunately tho!

  4. Barb says:

These are some stunning photos. i loved the photo of Norway and the one of Vietnam the most. I love colorful pictures. The mountains of georgia were also beautiful!

  5. Sandy N Vyjay says:

All of the pictures are really stunning. They have captured the beauty of the landscapes around them to stunning effect. My favourite of the lot is the picture of Sol de Mañana geysers. The scene looks so surreal and ethereal at the same time.
