Oh wow, where do I begin? Our tour with Olives Travel and Tours has exceeded all of our expectations in so many ways. First of all, before I even arrived I hadn’t realized that I needed a visa to enter Ghana as an American citizen. I realized this just 2 days before my departure date. I contacted the Ghana Embassy and I was informed that the expedited visa service takes 7 days. It goes without saying that panic set in! My travel companion and I scrambled to look for options to secure a visa for me. We called the Tour Radar customer service and they stated they could not help me; at this point I started to feel hopeless and thought I would have to cancel my trip. After seemingly exhausting all of my options we were about to give up but I decided to Google the Olives Travel and Tours to see if I could find a phone number and call them directly. At 9:00pm, 2 days before our departure I found a phone number and on a whim called the number. My call was immediately answered immediately by the owner himself, Prince Hart Adams. In my haste I forgot that it was 3:00am local in Ghana but despite this fact he was so gracious and committed to secure a visa-on-arrival which would allow my to travel and obtain the visa on Ghana instead of waiting for the long process of getting it beforehand. I must admit I was still nervous about securing the visa because we were cutting things so close. Prince assured me that it would be taken care of and he encouraged me to get my bags together for the trip. Being a man of his word, he secured the visa on arrival document and sent it to me in pdf just in the nick of time! Prince saved the day and salvaged my trip! In terms of the tour itself, it exceeded my expectations and I must admit it was the best tour of my life. Olive Tours does a great job of ensuring that you get a good variety of rich cultural experiences without having a super regimented schedule. I highly recommend Olive Travel and Tours. I can’t wait to book with them again!

Had an amazing time in Ghana! Prince is a great tour guide and gets you to experience as much of the culture as you can while you are there. Would suggest booking days after to just chill and enjoy the country as it’s very active tour and a lot of time spent traveling between activities.

I booked my trip to Ghana with Protour Africa because of the positive reviews I read. This gave me the confidence that I would enjoy the tour and be taken care of as a female solo traveller. I booked the Thrills in Ghana package as it was a good mix of city life, nature, history, relaxation and culture. I'm pleased to say that this tour far exceeded my expectations and this has been the best trip I've taken so far. First of all the communication from the minute I booked was efficient and Zainab was able to answer all of my questions (and I had loads). When I arrived in Ghana after 2 long flights she was there to pick me up and make sure I was settled at my hotel. The tour itself was insightful and gave me an authentic glimpse into different parts of Ghana and Ghanaian culture - my particular favourites were visiting Mr Cedi's Bead Factory and Kakum National Park. As well as accompanying me on all parts of the tour, Zainab even made time for me to add additional items to the itinerary. Zainab, I can't thank you enough for making my trip to Ghana amazing! Absolutely amazing experience i would recommend it to anyone. The coordinators in the volunteer house and all the people there make you feel so at home and put you at so much ease doing anything they can to help you out. The projects are really insightful, the childcare programme was amazing, the kids at the school are the best. Also, I definitely recommend the weekend trips, they were such a fun part of the experience, i made so many memories. Overall its a really rewarding experience.

I have just returned from a 12 day Best of Ghana Cultural Tour by Continent Tours. I have travelled around the world to over 40 countries and this was far the best trip I’ve taken. It was cultural, educational, historical, inspirational, and overwhelming with much joy which touched my mind, heart & spirit in such a sacred way. It was truly a trip of a lifetime and all due to the expertise of Tina Ross, Continent Tour Manager, the thoroughness of Matina Kuma, our tour guide, and safety of Samwell, our driver. From the moment I contacted Continent Tours, Tina made me feel very at ease that she understood exactly what I wanted in a customized tour. She always exercised professionalism, thoughtfulness, compassion, understanding and a sweet demeanor throughout the 9 month process before our departure. She never gave any hesitation or negativity towards the changes, additions, questions and concerns that I had. Her actions certainly provided me with a comfort and assurance that I was going to have the type of tour that I desired. As the tour date became closer & closer I became more & more excited which was all due to Tina. My tour was all of what I planned and even more than my expectations and was blessed immensely with extra surprises that were included by Continent Tours. To add to this, our tour guide was Matina Kuma, who had an effervescent and loving personality with her heartfelt hugs and sweet radiant smiles from our airport pickup throughout our journey until our airport drop off. She embraced my 3 companions and myself with much care, protection, respect & love as senior women and affectionately referred to us as “Mama”, which gave rise to us truly adopting her as our Ghanian daughter and genuine blessings of being family. She was very kind and generous to ensure our needs where met at all times. She had an amazing and thorough knowledge of all the regions of Ghana, its different languages and cultures which provided us with much education, history and to experience the different people of Ghana in every aspect of life. There was never a concern or fear or doubt that we were truly in safe hands. Samwell, our soft spoken, warmhearted and expert driver was very meticulous in maneuvering some of the undesirable roads to give us the best comfort. I would sincerely and strongly recommend Continent Tours to anyone wishing to visit Ghana and especially for those that desire to learn their ancestry. Do your research, document what you wish to see and experience, number of days first so that Continent Tours can give you the experience of a lifetime that you will greatly appreciate with no regrets and be enthused to share with others as I do.
